The Opening Game Pass Additions of 2026 Reveal Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

Everywhere you go, commentators persist in tolling the death bells for the green team. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a relatively obscure console. Xbox fan sites have started writing regarding Sony's platform as a new development. The past year represented an era of significant turmoil for the Xbox ecosystem. But if we're going solely off what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it is apparent that Xbox still intends to draw people in with compelling titles on its key platform.

The Available Now Titles

The duo of games currently accessible at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's truly noteworthy.

Significant Forthcoming Releases

Starting January 13th, the subscription service will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up typical Ubisoft design with an intergalactic heist adventure. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "a superb mixture of terror and combat."

Noteworthy Smaller Games

But even the smaller games set to join the catalog are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that's a blast to play, becomes available next week — and you should try it whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year could captivate you within just a quarter of an hour.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by Rebellion Developments, also warrants your attention. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.

A Well-Rounded Collection

Ultimately, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they tentpole Microsoft studios games that validate the subscription in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are exceptionally strong. There's a good mixture of past releases that passed you by and relatively recent releases that lacked the recognition they were due initially — which makes them perfect candidates to experience a revival on Game Pass.

You might need to brace yourself to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
