Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Acclaimed children's author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
An official for the publisher commented: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was reached following an investigation into reports of questionable actions directed at women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released more than 40 books combined, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
