Chalobah Set to Replace Guehi in England Squad
Trevoh Chalobah emulated his sibling Nathaniel in playing for England, emerging as the twenty-first pair of siblings to be selected for the England side.
Trevoh Chalobah is expected to be added to the Three Lions selection to fill in for unavailable Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
The 26-year-old footballer is scheduled to link up with the national side for England's last World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Serbia, although it has not yet been officially announced.
The Three Lions have already booked their place for next summer's tournament.
Chalobah earned his first selection under England head coach Thomas Tuchel in May and then earned his first cap against the Senegalese team.
In the month of September, Tuchel stated Chalobah was unfortunate to be excluded from the team for qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia, and also did not select him for the subsequent October fixtures.
Tuchel has been an significant figure in Chalobah's development, having handed him his Chelsea first-team bow in 2021.
Chalobah has appeared in all but four matches for Chelsea in the current campaign, with the club occupying third spot in the English top flight, in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals and in the league phase of the European competition.
Guehi sustained a foot injury in Crystal Palace's Europa Conference League win over the Dutch side last week.
There are set to be other call-ups to the team. Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has announced that both attacker Anthony Gordon (hip injury) and goalkeeper Nick Pope (a concussion) will withdraw from the squad.
